Pineapple Coconut Cream Mini Pies - Kreative Creationz

Kendra from Kreative Creationz is here today to share a delicious pineapple treat with us all...

Like I said before, I am not a pie baker at all. You can find the first pie I’ve ever made here. Now that I’ve made one pie I thought I should try my hand at other pies.

I know, I know. The first pie I made wasn’t a traditional dessert pie, so what makes me think I should continue making pies? Well, I’m still up for a challenge and I still love learning new skills. I’ve never had a coconut cream pie. It sounded tasty, yet difficult to make. I researched quite a few recipes before even trying to make one.
This is my first attempt and it came out pretty well. Of course, I had to add my own kreative touch.
Enjoy!

 Ingredients
½ Cup Shredded Coconut
1- 9” Pie Crust
1 ¼ Cup Whole Milk
½ Cup Sugar
½ Cup Cornstarch
½ Cup Chopped Pineapples
1 Large Egg, Beaten
3 Tbsp. Pineapple Juice
2 Tbsp. Coconut Milk
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

Directions
Preheat oven to 375°.
In even layer, place coconut on cookie sheet and bake until top is lightly toasted. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.
Roll pie crust out flat.
Using flower-shaped cookie cutter, cut out shapes into crust.
Place shape cutouts into mini-muffin pie pan.
Place pan in oven and bake until crust is a light golden brown.
In a medium sauce pan, over low to medium heat, dissolve milk, sugar, and cornstarch.
Stir mixture.
Stir in pineapples, egg, pineapple juice, coconut milk, and extract.
Continue stirring until mixture thickens.
Remove from heat.
Allow mixture to cool.
Scoop mixture into pie cups and chill in refrigerator.

DIY Inspirational Sign - Kreative Creationz

Today Kendra from Kreative Creationz is here to share a gorgeous DIY sign...

Everybody who knows me knows that I love my wall of quotes. There is just something about waking up in the morning and walking down stairs and the first thing I see is my wall of quotes. There are times when I need a little inspiration to get my day started or even times when I just need to smile. Even though I’ve had most of my inspirational signs for a couple of years, I still catch myself stopping to read every single one. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy but it makes me happy. What doesn’t make me happy is the price some of my quotes cost. Luckily, I bought most of them on sale. I still don’t want to pay for something I know for sure I can do myself. That’s where this little crafty project came in. The wooden cutout was only 97¢, the scrapbook paper was only 17¢, and the stencil was $3. Everything else I had on hand, so this craft is definitely a money saver! It’s my first go at stenciling, so please don’t be too harsh if you see some mistakes. Practice makes perfect, right? I have a few more that I will practice on this week and I will share once they are complete. I hope you find this craft inspirational, but before we get started I want to share with you some other quotes I have around my house. Enjoy!

What You Need:
1 Wooden Shape Cutout
1 Sheet Decorative Scrapbook Paper
Scissors
Acrylic Paint
Sponge
Brush
Lettering Stencil
Mod Podge
Spray Sealer
Ruler
Pencil
Wall Mount
Glue Gun

Directions:
Trace the outline of the wooden shape onto the back of the scrapbook paper then cut out the shape.

Apply two coats of paint to the edges and part of the front of the wooden shape with a color that coordinates with the scrapbook paper. Let completely dry.

Using the same color of paint and the sponge brush, stencil the letters onto the front of the scrapbook paper cutout. Let completely dry.

Apply one coat of Mod Podge to the front of the wooden cutout and then place the scrapbook cutout onto the front of the wooden cutout. Turn cutout front side down, so that the scrapbook paper can dry flat.

Once dry, in a well-ventilated area, apply two coats of spray sealer and let completely dry.

Using ruler and pencil, draw a horizontal line on the top back of the cutout where you would like the wall mount positioned.

Apply hot glue to holes on wall mount where screws would be (this wood was too thin to use the screws) and glue mount along horizontal line.

Let glue dry and hang sign using a nail.

Shimmering Bath Fizzies - Kreative Creationz

Kendra from Kreative Creationz is here today to share her lovely recipe for bath fizzies...enjoy!

I must be stuck on having a spa day really soon. Recently I wrote about my Coconut Body Scrub and Aromatic Bath Salts. Now I have these beauties for you!

What girl doesn’t love bath fizzies? Just imagine leaning back in the tub and dropping a couple of these babies in and listening to the soft fizzle while it releases your favorite fragrance. I can imagine it right now! And the best thing is that they are shimmery. Enjoy!

 What You Need:

1 Cup Cornstarch
1 Cup Baking Soda
½ Cup Citric Acid
¼ Cup Scented Shimmering Body Lotion
5-6 Drops Food Color (I used 4 Yellow Drops and 2 Blue Drops)
Spray Bottle
Mold (I used a candy mold and it worked perfectly)

Directions In a large bowl, mix cornstarch, baking soda, and citric acid.

Fill spray bottle half-way with water. Add lotion and food color to spray bottle. Shake well. *Optional: You may add 2-3 drops of essential oil at this step for more fragrance.*

Spritz cornstarch mixture with water. Add water slowly while mixing with your hands. Continue mixing and spraying until it holds its shape when squeezed in your hand.

Firmly press mixture into mold cavities. Remove as many air bubbles as possible.

Let mixture dry for 2-3 hours before removing from molds. Store in airtight container.

Microwave Chocolate Ganache Cake - Kreative Creationz

We are so excited to have Kendra from Kreative Creationz here today, sharing her awesome Microwave Chocolate Cake...
I love just about anything that can be microwaved, especially desserts. I recently learned how to make a lemon -strawberry cake from scratch in the microwave. Since, one of my husband’s favorite desserts is chocolate cake (second to my peach cobbler) I decided to try to make one in the microwave. What can beat a yummy, moist chocolate cake with creamy ganache with less than a three-minute cooking time? Nothing! This recipe made two servings. Enjoy!
Ingredients
4 Tbsp. Granulated Sugar
3 Tbsp. Butter, Melted
 2 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder
 2 Tbsp. All-purpose Flour
2 Large Eggs
1 Tbsp. Water
 ½ Tsp. Vanilla Extract
 ¼ Tsp. Baking Powder
 Pinch of Salt

Ganache
3 Tbsp. Sweetened Condensed Milk
½ Oz. Semi-sweet Chocolate Squares
¼ Tsp. Vanilla Extract
In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients for the cake, until batter is smooth. Pour half of the batter into a microwavable ramekin and the other half into a second ramekin.

Heat for 1 minute 20 seconds. Set aside and let cool.

Place all ingredients for ganache in a small microwavable bowl.

Heat for 1 minute. Stir ganache, until completely mixed.

Pour ganache onto the center of the cake.

Using a tablespoon, evenly spread ganache to the edges of the cake.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.

Strawberry Pineapple Protein Smoothie - Kreative Creationz

Hello, Inspiration CafĂ©! It’s Kendra from Kreative Creationz, again.
I am so glad to be back sharing one of my favorite things. Homemade smoothies! I just love the fact that you can put almost any fruit and some veggies into smoothies. They leave so much room for creativity.
Now that strawberries are back in season and the price has went from over $5 to less than $2, I have been buying several baskets at a time. I’ve been keeping one basket in the fridge and freezing the rest. Who knows if there will be a crazy price increase again in the near future? I just want to be prepared. Right now I have three large containers of strawberries in my freezer.
The recipe I am going to share is one of my favorite smoothie combinations. It’s simple yet tasty. There’s no dairy (I’m trying no dairy meals for a week) and I added a little protein to help get my day started. Enjoy!

Ingredients 6 Large Ice Cubes 8 Large Strawberries, Sliced ¼ Cup Pineapples, Crushed ½ Cup Orange Juice 2 ½ Tablespoons Soy Protein, Vanilla Flavor

Directions Blend ice, strawberries, pineapples, and orange juice until smooth. Add protein and blend, occasionally scraping sides of blender if protein sticks to side.

Serve immediately. (Makes 2 servings)
